Hello Band Families!

As the summer marches on, our planning for the upcoming season is marching forward too.  Here’s our latest BPA update.

July Band Camp

Grocery Store Fund Raisers for CCHS Marching Band

FREE MONEY!?!?  Yes!  You can help the band earn it by doing something you do anyway – braving the grocery store and shopping on Amazon.com.  It’s easy to sign up, it costs you nothing and all your purchases from King Soopers, Safeway and Amazon will benefit the band with money for things like instrument purchase and repair, building of props, color guard costumes and flags, busses and food.

Thanks to those of you who have already signed up for King Soopers Community Rewards.   The band received $861 last quarter alone!  This is good but falls short of our $2,500 per quarter goal.  If everyone signs up for either the King Soopers or the Safeway program and everyone signs up for Amazon Smile, we can meet or exceed or goal.  Ask your friends and family to sign up, too.  King Soopers rewards will also work in areas that have City Market stores.  Safeway cards can be used in store or at the pump or pharmacy.  The cards work in other states that have Safeway owned stores such as Vons, Dominick’s, Randall’s, Tom thumb, Pavilions and Carrs.

King Soopers Community Rewards

To sign up for this program,  just go to www.KingSoopers.com and create an account or log into your existing account.  To create a new account, you will need your King Soopers card number or alternate ID (usually a phone number) to get started.  Once signed in, scroll to the very bottom and click on King Soopers Community Rewards.  From there follow prompts to link your card to Cherry Creek High School Band Parents Association.  Every time you shop, show your loyalty card or enter your alternate ID on the pin pad and King Soopers will donate to the band.

 Safeway Community Giving Card Program

Purchase as many gift cards as you need by mailing a check for $5 per card made out to CCHSBPA to:

  • Kathy Benson
  • 8067 S. Trenton Ct.
  • Centennial, CO  80112

Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope so she can mail cards out to you.

The cards are pre-loaded with $5.  Simply ask the cashier or courtesy desk clerk to load more money onto your card before you shop.  Pay for your groceries with your card and the band will receive 5% of your total.

 Amazon Smile

Simply go to smile.amazon.com and create or log in to your account.  At the top of the home page, drop down under Your Account to Your Amazonsmile.  Use the button to choose or change your charity to Cherry Creek High School Marching Band Parents Association.  Just remember to always go to smile.amazon.com (not just amazon.com) when you shop.  That’s it!!

Thank you so much for taking this important step in supporting the band.  We cannot afford to leave this free money on the table.

Parent Volunteer Form

Thanks to the families that have completed the form already.  If you haven’t, please take a look and complete the Google Form.

There are many opportunities for you to get involved. Even if you have limited availability, the smallest contribution goes a long.  It does take a village to support our marching band students, directors, and community. Meet other band parents and have loads of fun while helping out.

Tributes & Ads for Marching Band Directory

Support the Band with a paid advertisement or tribute!  The Marching Band Directory is finalized during Band Camp and is distributed at Band Spirit Night.  Please consider purchasing ad space for your business or tribute to your senior, a section leader, drum major, the color guard or the entire band.  Loving, funny or both—your choice.  Completed Forms are due Tuesday, August 4th, 2020 (first day of band camp).
