Dear CCHS Marching Band Community,
As you may have heard, CBA made the difficult decision to cancel marching band festivals and championships this fall. Although it’s very disappointing, I know it was the only option given the current circumstances. Please take a moment to read the official statement at coloradobandmasters.org.
We will still have marching band this fall in some capacity, even though we don’t have the opportunity to perform at competitions. I’ll be working with our administration, marching staff and student leadership to brainstorm new and creative ideas to modify our program for this fall.
It’s extremely important to maintain the identity and positive community we’ve spent the last 20 years developing. We need to stay positive and support each other as we work to provide a meaningful experience for both new and returning members.
We will have camp as usual next Tuesday and we will set aside some time to answer questions. Above all, we will look forward to being together in person!! I will send out specific instructions and protocols for camp this Friday.
