Uniform Committee —Important Information
DINKLES – If your student has dinkles (shoes) at home they must be brought to school Saturday, August 20th at 7:30 AM, for Call time.
Students can also put their dinkles from home in their band lockers or in their school lockers this week to have them ready before Saturday morning.
SOCKS – Students are required to wear black, unmarked crew socks with their uniform. Many kids keep extra pairs of socks in their garment bags.
UNIFORM – Under the uniform pants, students should wear dark gym shorts, leggings, or long underwear to facilitate quick, modest changes. No jeans, zippers, cargo pants, big buttons, or belts should be worn under the uniform. Under the uniform jacket, students will wear the show shirt that is provided. Add more layers if cold. Students should not wear jewelry.
UNIFORMED PERFORMANCES – Except for Percussion – Pit and Sousaphones, All Instrumentalists wear a Shako (hat) and all hair should be up in the hat. Sousaphones will have beans instead.
GARMENT BAG – Some optional, but recommended, items to have in the uniform garment bag are hair ties for longer hair, band aids or mole skin cut into smaller pieces for blisters, and deodorant.
Back to School Night Fundraiser—Thursday, August 25th, 2022
On Thursday, August 25th, the CCHS Marching Band will be providing a delicious dinner option for CCHS staff, parents, and students. Enjoy an on-site grilled hamburger or hot dog with chips and bottled water or soda for $6 if prepaid via CheddarUp before 12 PM on Wednesday, August 24th. Meals can be purchased same-day for $10 cash or check. Please note that change for large bills may be limited.
Spirit Wear Store—DEADLINE to order is Saturday, 8/20/2022
The band fees only cover one short sleeve t-shirt, and your student would have received their shirt on Spirit Night. It is suggested that parents order a second or backup short sleeve t-shirt for their student(s) since they must wear this underneath their uniform. This 2nd shirt will be especially useful on the weeks where there are both Friday and Saturday performances and great for the trip to California
The Online Marching Band Spirit Wear Store opened on August 10th and will now close on Saturday, August 20th. The link to order additional apparel is https://chaganpromos.com/shop/.
