Updated on 10/03/2019 to add include DCMI Concession Information

Hello Band Families,

What a week! We saw the first concert of the year for Concert, Symphonic I, Symphonic II & Wind Ensemble as well as the entire marching band perform together in the FA Theater. That is always a highlight! It was an INCREDIBLE performance by all the bands. Thank you all who bid and won items at our annual silent auction. What a fun night it was and we hope you were able to win something wonderful. HUGE thank you to our Action committee lead by Cindy Roark and Marysue Connelly. There were MANY parents and students who helped with the success of the evening and we truly thank each of you! Look out for an update on how much the auction raised to help the music program at CREEK.

If the concert and auction weren’t enough to fill your week, I hope you got to see how fabulously our kids are progressing when they competed at the Legacy Marching Band Festival in Thornton on Saturday. Wow … it was just great to see how all of their hard work is coming together. They all really did sound and look GREAT! Don’t we have amazing Directors and instructors leading and mentoring our kids! Also, a BIG thank you to Cyndi Stahl and the Flute and Tuba parents as well as the Grill Masters who fed our kids and kept their stomachs full.   The pit crew, prop crew & plume crew were on point as always and helped with the overall success of the show. THANK YOU!

With the first competition under our belts we move onto Douglas County but we want to remind you …

Competition Food

Many thanks to the Flute and Sousaphone families who contributed food and time for our meal at the Legacy Festival. And thanks for being flexible with the later eating time!

This coming week, it’s the Clarinets and Trumpets turn. We will be serving Breakfast for Dinner. Those families should have received a SignUpGenius invitation, but if you didn’t, here is the link:

Butter Braid Fundraiser is in full swing!

When selling, remember these make a great and easy breakfast for all of the holidays November through New Year’s and easy breakfast and treats for ski weekends. For each Butter Braid and Yumbana Cookie Dough a student sells $5.20 goes directly into their own account and each Coda Coffee adds $6.40!  This fundraiser is a great way for students to build up the balance in their accounts if they choose to participate!

Here are the Butter Braid dates to remember:

  • 10/9 – Orders and money due after practice
  • 10/23 – 6:30 pm after practice–Butter Braids, Yumbana GF Cookie Dough & Coda Coffee will be ready for pick up.

Feel free to contact Robin Gear at rdriscollgear@yahoo.com  or 720-212-4471 with any questions.

King Soopers Fundraising
