Hello Band Families,

Here’s what inside this edition of the update:

1.  Opening Day for Butter Braid Fundraiser is TODAY!

The Butter Braid Fundraiser started today, Wednesday, October 6th!  Students will have the opportunity to taste samples of Butter Braids and cookies after band practice today to remember how delicious these treats are before selling to friends, neighbors and family members. Making sales easier orders will be online allowing customers to pay via credit card but we will also accept cash and checks.

The funds that are raised through the sale of Butter Braids, Yumbana GF Cookie Dough & Coda Coffee go directly into your student’s account, so it is a great way to build up that balance!  When selling remember these make a great and easy breakfast and snacks for all of the holidays November through New Year’s and easy breakfast and treats for ski weekends.

Here are dates to remember:

  • 10/6 – Students taste sample and their online store goes live. If you still want a paper version, please contact Robin Gear. Students have 19 days to take orders and collect payments
  • 10/24 – Orders close end of day on the 24th.  Cash and Checks due Monday 10/25 at school.
  • 10/28 – Pick up after practice–Butter Braids, Yumbana GF Cookie Dough & Coda Coffee will be ready for pick up.

Homecoming Football Game

  • Call Time—5:45 for Seniors and 6:15 for everyone else.
  • Pit Volunteers—we are still looking four 4 more parents to help this Friday night (Pit & Props SignUpGenius).  Volunteers meet at the south gate where the band enters towards the band truck to get their wrist bands to let them on the field.
  • Plume volunteers—we are still looking for 1 more plume volunteer (Plumes SignUpGenius).  Look for Natalie Dube’ in the stands with the band parents.  The plume volunteers will join the band on the track ~ 8 minutes before the end of the first ½ of the game.

Saturday, 10/08 Small Group Fundraiser Performance

  • Call at 6:30 am
  • Back to CCHS no later than 9:30am
  • No parent volunteered needed.

Big Cat Festival—Saturday 10/16/2021

  • 10:15am-11:15am Lunch (on your own)
  • 11:15am Inspection
  • 11:30am Depart for North Area Athletic Complex (Golden, CO)
  • 12:15pm Arrive and unload
  • 12:50pm-1:20pm Body Warm Up (Area B)
  • 12:45pm-1:15pm Pit Warm-Up (Area B)
  • 1:30pm-2:00pm Music Warm-Up (Area B)
  • 2:15pm PERORMANCE TIME
  • 2:45pm-4:00pm Watch Other Bands
  • 4:15pm Prelim Awards Ceremony
  • 4:30pm Eat Dinner (Provided)
  • 6:00pm Finals performances begin
  • 9:40pm Finals Awards Ceremony
  • 10:00pm Depart for CCHS

**Parents should pick students up at CCHS Fine Arts at approximately 10:45pm.

Parent Volunteers

  • Band Food Committee will be sending out SignUpGenius for next meal in the very near future.
  • Pits & Props:  Still looking for 5 volunteers for Prelims and 11 volunteers for Finals.  Please considering signing up for one or both performances. Pit & Props SignUpGenius

State Qualifiers, Monday, October 18th, 2021

  • 12:30pm-3:30pm Practice at Stutler
  • 4:00pm-5:30pm Eat Dinner (Provided) and change into uniform
  • 5:45pm Inspection 6:00pm Depart for Littleton High School Stadium
  • 6:45pm Arrive and unload
  • 7:15pm-7:45pm Body Warm-up
  • 7:45pm-8:00pm Music Warm-up 8:30pm Performance Time
  • 8:45pm-9:15pm Watch 2 remaining bands perform from the track
  • 9:20pm Awards Ceremony
  • 9:45pm Return to CCHS
