Our first competition of the year is the Monarch Festival in Lafayette on Saturday, September 23.
BAND SCHEDULE:
- 1pm-3pm Practice at the Football practice field (behind the ropes course)
- 3pm-4pm Eat early dinner (Hosted by the Clarinet section families.)
- 4:10pm Inspection
- 4:20pm Depart for Centaurus High School (Location below)
- 5:30pm Arrive and unload
- 6:00pm Body Warm-up
- 6:35pm Music Warm-up
- 7:30pm Performance Time!
- 8:15-9:30pm Watch remaining bands perform
- 9:45pm Awards Ceremony
- 10:00pm Return to CCHS
Bring food and/or money for concessions if you want snacks after the performance. Parents should pick students up at CCHS Fine Arts at 11pm.

COMPETION FOOD – Dinner of hot dogs and hamburgers will be provided by the Clarinet section parents at 3pm at CCHS.
ADMISSIONS: The cost for the festival is $10.00 for adults and $6.00 for students (6-18) and senior citizen’s. Cash and credit cards will be the only methods of payment. Children under 6 will be admitted free and gates will open at 12:30pm.
SEATING: Seating will be crowded and space will be limited. The MAIN GRANDSTAND on the north side of the field will be reserved for the paying audience. Please advise all parents to respect each band’s performance and only enter the Grandstand following a band’s performance.
SPECTATOR PARKING: Spectator parking in the Centaurus High School main parking lot will be limited to ONLY handicapped parking. Please advise your staff and parents to arrive early to allow for time to park in the spectator parking lots located at local businesses within ½ mile of Centaurus High School or to use the shuttle from Angevine Middle School or the Community Medical Center located .8 miles east of Centaurus. Shuttle service will begin at 1:30 PM and the last run will be 8:45 PM. This parking lot is located less than 1 mile from Warrior Stadium and spectators should allow 10-15 minutes for shuttle service. All parents and spectators should plan to use the shuttle parking or overflow parking areas.
